hey, i'm Joy.
The climbing coach that is changing up the industry one bump at a time.
I'm glad you're here because...
There isn't a lot of information out there...
especially when it resources for pregnant and postpartum climbers. I'm on a mission to provide climbers with the knowledge, support, and training that they need to continue to pursue climbing and training in a way that meets them where they're at. Let's do this.
learn more →When I first started, I thought to myself...
There is literally no one else doing this.
There is no other climbing coach out there helping climbers to understand more about their pelvic floor, their ribcage, their breathing, and how these all affect not only their body but their climbing as well, during both pregnancy and postpartum.
Climbers don't just quit climbing during pregnancy (I know, I've climbed through two, and coached more than 75 other climbers through it), so telling them to stop is bad beta. Equipping them with knowledge to help guide their decisions is the better beta.
So I thought to myself...
It's time to be the first one, and I never looked back. Â
There is no way to describe what an incredible learning journey I have been on, and will continue to be on, while helping to support climbers during all stages of motherhood. I may the be the first, but I won't be the last, and this makes my heart so happy.
work with me →I'VE BEEN FEATURED IN:
Yep, thats me..
There's a lot more to me than climbing...
▶︎ I have a 17 year old, a 3 year old, and a 2 year old. Yes, my life is crazy, and no, I wouldn't have it any other way.
▶︎ I found climbing in 2010 in a gym - which means I didn't grow up climbing; I grew up water skiing and cheerleading. Â
▶︎ I have been training people since I was 18 years old - my first real training job was teaching silver sneakers aerobics class as a high school senior.Â
▶︎ My hair wasn't curly until I hit puberty - and I am thankful every single day for it, I have no clue how to be anything but a curly girl.Â
Let's Train Together →Climbing does not have to end when Motherhood begins.Â
